- Female Missionary to ASU (Arkansas State University), Fall of 2009
Position Overview
The Turn is seeking a young male and female college graduate—age 21–30—to work with Fellowship Bible Church serving as a
missionary on the campus of Arkansas State University (2 year minimum commitment) reaching college adults with
the Good News of the Gospel in the context of the local church. This is NOT a “college pastor” position, nor a fancy
title for an “internship” in our college ministry. Rather, this IS a missionary sent to the campus of ASU, seeking to
contextualize and communicate the gospel to college adults in the unique environment of the campus. The position
requires the raising of financial support (we will provide excellent training on support raising through our partner-
ship with Great Commission Ministries).
The Turn’s Mission
The Turn is an evangelistic outreach of Fellowship Bible Church on the campus of ASU where we call college adults
from wherever they are to come and follow Christ in the context of the local church.
The Turn’s Vision
Our culture is filled with distorted opinions of “Jesus” and the “church.” And college is the time for many to aban-
don the pursuit of both due to a perceived irrelevance. Our vision is to speak boldly into the common mispercep-
tions and rejection of Jesus and see college adults grow to love Jesus, His church, His mission for the church and
her call to reach His world.
The Turn is an outreach of Fellowship on the campus of ASU where we intentionally invite students to explore the
person and claims of Jesus with others who are seeking to follow Him, and then connect them to the blessing of the
local church at Fellowship Bible Church.
