The Turn will be mixing it up on campus Sep 30th—THIS WEDNESDAY NIGHT—as we address the winners of our Text Message Voting campaign. We asked and you responded. Now come join us as we explore the answers together.

Join us at 8:30pm on the 3rd floor of the Union in the Spring Room as we discuss the two questions that you voted the most. Bring a friend and come hang out with us as we “mix it up.”

Join The Turn in a great service project this Friday by helping PACES move some of their office stuff from one location to their new location right next door. Plan on a couple of hours Fri, Sep 25 from 4-6pm.

Join The Turn for a great tailgate under the pines behind the student section of the stadium Saturday from 12-2pm. Bring $2 and some friends and enjoy some burgers, dogs, drinks, baggo and general gala. Then get painted up for the game and go cheer on our beloved Red Wolves!

Be a Leader in The Turn. Join us as we head to Knoxville for The Campus Initiative Conference hosted by one of the churches we’ve modeled our ministry after. They have been doing the same kind of church-based campus ministry for years at UT Knoxville and this will be an awesome opportunity to go see what God has done in their ministry and what we can learn from them. D.A. Carson and Randy Newman will be guest speakers at a conference for pastors, college ministry leaders, and students this December in Knoxville, Tennessee. The Campus Initiative Conference has a two-fold purpose: to equip leaders and students to proclaim the gospel on campus, and to encourage college students to be involved in a healthy local church. It will be held December 17–19 at Cornerstone Church of Knoxville.

You Are Religious. Jesus is Not!

If that’s true—namely that you are religious—what’s so dangerous about that? In fact, the general consensus of people who meet you would even say “you’re a nice guy” or “you’re a sweet gal.” Danger might be Austin Power’s middle name, but not yours!

Even if it’s not the best thing in the world, to say that “religion is dangerous” (especially after asserting that every single person is religious) seems like a bit of an overstatement.

The Turn’s famous “Wolf-pack Hunt” (our remix of a scavenger hunt) will be ON CAMPUS TONIGHT! Join us in East/West Rm, 3rd floor of Student Union, 8:30pm on campus. Don’t miss it and bring a friend!

PS It’s obvious from the picture that we like flags (particularly the American, Red Wolves and Arkansas flags), Unions, Students stairing at buildings, and white arrows.

Due to the pending weather, we’re going to cancel The Turn’s tailgate today. It is forecasted to rain just about the time we’d be setting up to tailgate, and we don’t have a big fancy tent to seek shelter under in case of rain. Rather than get our big grill stuck in the mud, and cook a bunch of food only to get rained on, we’ll just postpone our tailgate until the next home game, Sep 26! We’ll still be painting up though!
